Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton

I had a wonderful stay at the Konsulat Hotel — part of Hilton’s Curio Collection — and it truly exceeded my expectations. I stayed here right after completing the 4-day Laugavegur Trail hike, and it was exactly the comfort I needed. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and efficient, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, with exceptionally comfortable bedding that allowed me to rest deeply after the long hikes. I had to depart early the next morning, and the team thoughtfully prepared a to‑go breakfast, which was such a kind touch. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Reykjavik. Highly recommended!

We stayed at four different hotels during our vacation across Iceland, and Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel was by far the best. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city. While the hotel does not have its own parking, there is a garage conveniently located just across the street. The customer service here was truly exceptional. From check in, to the bar, to breakfast, every employee we encountered was kind, welcoming, and personable. One evening, we ordered drinks at the bar before heading to the spa, and the bartender was kind enough to bring them down to us. It was a small gesture, but one that really stood out. The hotel itself is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated. It also features a well equipped gym, a relaxing spa area, and a stylish bar. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely furnished, making for a very comfortable stay. Overall, this was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Reykjavik. It is a significant step above the other nearby Curio Collection hotel.

Had higher expectations. Nothing like a Four Seasons or that level. Rooms are nice and beds comfortable, but way too much furniture in the room. Couldn’t even open the suitcases. Had to move furniture to the shower to make room! Biggest disappointment was the breakfast - it’s a very basic buffet like you’d see in a Hilton garden Inn. no menus and no service. Overall just really overpriced hotel for pretty basic experience.
