Very cosy and welcoming apartment close to Zakopane

Booked to come for holiday and invited closest family to spent some quality time for my 40th birthday. We booked through TatryTop, and from the booking to the check in everything was great, service for 5*. Location, views, quietness of the place was absolutely fantastic! Now the reason for low rating. Unfortunately, the house is very tired, which ruins the charm of the beautiful views. More than half of the cupboards, wardrobes, etc., are falling apart. Coffee machine is very temperamental, will do maybe 2 coffees on 10 or more tries. We wasted nearly 1kg of coffee beans, which machine grind and discarded instead of making a coffee, with error on screen "lack of coffee". Chairs in dining room rooting away and falling apart so be careful when you sit on them, just old and not cared. Cooker, only 3/4 rings work. Few bulbs didn't work. Especially light in the shower on 1st floor, which reported as evident fire risk. Bulb kept blinking when switched on, and kept glowing after switching off. Missing rainfall shower head at top floor bathroom, just end of the pipe where the head should be. Table on the veranda is all warped, no glass will stand level. Heating, luckily I could set up on when cold and rainy day but good luck to many next to tackle the system. All reported to person responsible for the house but no further contact received or any rectification done at all. It is clear that the owner of the house is set for max profit and does not care at all about the condition of the house and the equipment within, quite sad really as it spoils the holiday if you notice it all. Regardless, we still spent some quality time with family, but could of been much better if not the snags of the tired house filled with junk outdated furniture and appliances.

Poor condition and lack of maintenance, the furniture was broken, lights didn’t work, shower leaked into our bedroom and down into the kitchen, no firewood, the microwave did not work and the heating did not work. We travelled from Australia with our friends (12 of us in total) and the house was not at all as advertised on booking.com and the owners only responded when we lodged a complaint with booking.com otherwise no one would answer our call or return our msg.
