Rheinhotel Dreesen

Celebrating 130 years and I hope it sits alongside the Rhein for another century! A classic Rhein hotel full of charm. A balcony room is a must. Perfect location for jogging the river and excursions. The hotel has a rich and complicated history. One feels as if you are floating along in a giant river boat at night. The Biergarten is fabulous spot in the summer sun. The entire area is also full of walkable treats. Luxurious breakfast and dining options in the restaurant. Staff is attentive and kind.

This hotel is located in a quiet area by the river, just a 20-minute drive from the city center of Bonn. The beautiful architecture, both inside and outside, creates an elegant atmosphere perfect for a refined getaway. The staff is polite and attentive, and the guests are cultured and respectful. However, during party nights, it can get noisy until midnight. There are usually plenty of free parking spaces available near the hotel, unless an event is taking place. For convenience, there is also a paid underground parking option—€1.80 per hour or €19 for the whole day. The breakfast experience was exceptionally delightful! A wide selection of cheeses and cold cuts, various healthy drinks, and the music playlist was curated with great taste—I was pleasantly surprised to hear my favorite Debussy pieces. Enjoying the view of the river with slowly passing barges added to the charm. A supermarket is just a 5-minute drive away. Complimentary lemon-infused water and apples were always available. The only downside was my single room, which had an unfortunate view of the hotel's wall. That said, the room itself was clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated that the hotel is pet-friendly. Location is the only thing this place offers. We planned a big group dinner the food is mediocre, the service is absolutely poor. No ventilator or Fan on 33 degree day, Not a place to visit or plan any big event.
