Rhombus Park Aura Chengdu Hotel (榛悦隆堡成都酒店) is conveniently located right next to Chengdu Tai Koo Li (成都太古里), a popular shopping district surrounded by various malls and retail centres. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. The receptionist clearly explained the chargeable items in the room. A deposit of 800 CNY was required for our 2-night stay. We booked the Deluxe Twin room, which was spacious and came with a bathtub. The dry and wet areas of the bathroom were separated, and you could enjoy a view of the city while soaking in the tub. However, the sliding door separating the bathroom and bedroom was somewhat translucent, so your travel companion might be able to see inside — something to take note of. All toiletries were provided. Towels and bed linens were clean, the water pressure was strong, and both the pillows and beds were very comfortable. Overall, great value for money. Interestingly, booking the room on the same day via Agoda turned out to be cheaper than booking in advance — though that comes with a bit of risk.

Fantastically appointed. Well maintained modern room. Breakfast spread is good but can be improved. Amazing location.

The room is old and dark. Layout is very weird as the only window is at the bathroom. The carpet was dusty and musty it triggered my allergies. Even I got the worst contact dermatitis by just using their slippers. The wallpaper peeled and has mold. Even the door creaks. The bathroom amenities was abysmal. The shower glass door wasn't insulated properly so water got everywhere. Again, it was very dark, moreso at night. The roller blind wasn't automatically shut off so sometimes it derailed. Front desk was rude and refused to bring my food deliveries to the room. The hallway is so long and people smoke near the elevator. This hotel really needs to revamp their facilities as everything screams old. Honestly the only saving grace is the location.
