We had a lovely stay at Riad Almeria. It was amazing to stay at a Riad that offered peace, comfort and relaxation. The beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfast and great staff made it the perfect place for us to stay. We enjoyed the hammam treatment performed by sweet Hafida and went back to our room with the softest skin and a feeling of tranquility in our bodies. As if this wasn’t enough we had the pleasure of meeting Driss and Mehdi who went out of their way to offer us the most extraordinary service with their wonderful personalities. The entire staff was great but these two in particular made us feel as if no request was too big, made sure that all our needs were fulfilled and made us feel as if the riad was our home. They took their time to teach us about the Moroccan people and culture and the history of the country and treated us better than of any of the many staff members we’ve met on our many trips around the world. As two women traveling with big suitcases the only thing we missed was more closet space in the room that was smaller than expected. We would like to thank the entire staff and especially Driss and Mehdi for all their efforts to give us a pleasant experience at Riad Almeria.
Such a beautiful riad!! Our room had such a lovely vibe and all the staff were so helpful and kind. A little bit further away from things but not too far. We stayed in the lipstick room, it was so lovely for a couple ◡̈
Did I hate it? No. Would I recommend it? No!! Why? It was missing a lot. Yes there was a pool on the rooftop, and yes that pool was dirty and felt old! Yes the rooms are newly renovated but yes they were not functional, weird toilet doors. No shower door or curtain. The sink is the most unpractical one I’ve seen ever! A bin without a liner,m etc. Not bad but definitely not good either. The staff felt off, not really warm and welcoming mostly just hanging around and having fun together. We’ve once had breakfast. It was 70mad per person, and it was the most basic moroccan breakfast ever. Even asked for a laundry spot closely and they charged me 180 mad for it! During my 3 weeks stay in Morocco it was the first Riad which felt as a commercial hotel chain with not the warmth I used to in Morocco. I bet you can find a better spot with a much cheaper price in Marrakech
