Had a 3D2N (Wed- Fri) Full Board stay at Riders Resort and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The staff within the hotel and the stables were super friendly and patient throughout our stay. We also did 1h group class for horse riding and the 1.5h trail ride, which was so fun and truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s a little far from the nearby town, so definitely need to drive and having the full board package which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner is great. Very fuss free and staff is very accommodating to the meal timings and preferences. Perhaps because it’s so far from the city, it was very quaint and peaceful. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend!
An awesome place to chill and relax, away from the busy working environment. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Love the horse riding experience especially the guided long tour around in the palm tree plantation. Food is of quality standard. Strongly recommend especially to those who loves horse riding, family, couples and friends get together.
Room: - spacious, high ceiling - clean enough - shower hose holder too low so have to half squat to wash hair - water comes out of rain shower in jets and different directions, probably clogged with minerals - toiletries and tissue provided! Staff are welcoming and try their best to accommodate to requests. Very prompt in helping us to arrange transport too horse riding - opted for the jungle trail - takes you through the surrounding forests which turn out to be all palm tree plantations. Its saddening to see the natural diversity being replaced all by palm trees. I had a decent time during the horse riding experience — the horses looked well-groomed and the staff were attentive and professional. It’s clear that they work hard to maintain the stables and ensure things run smoothly. That said, coming from a riding experience in New Zealand where we were encouraged to understand and connect with the horses as sentient beings, I noticed a difference in approach here. This ride was groom-led, and while riders held the reins, it felt more symbolic than functional. The horses seemed to follow a routine, quietly doing their part, but with little sense of individual engagement or recognition of their unique personalities. It’s not that the horses are mistreated — they are clearly physically well cared for — but the overall mindset feels more business-oriented. The horses come across more as part of an efficient system than as companions with quirks and preferences of their own. Still, I appreciate the effort the team puts in. This may be the norm for many commercial riding schools, and it’s a safe and accessible way for beginners to experience horses. I just personally prefer an approach that builds more mutual connection between rider and horse.
