Rihiveli The Dream Island Resort

A beautiful island hotel consisting of 3 small islands. Only one of the islands is inhabited. Lunch is served on Wednesdays on one of the other two islands. It has a beautiful sea and a lagoon. Be careful not to harm the stingrays while walking in the sea, this is also important for your own health! Please do not harm the corals! Sometimes you can also see harmless sharks. It is also a good spot for diving, you can swim with sharks. The hotel's rooms are well designed and comfortable. Swinging in a hammock is very relaxing in the evenings. Food was diverse and delicious. The staff were respectful and friendly. You can reach here by boat from Male in about 1 hour.

Had a wonderful experience for a week's stay. Did reef snorkeling and swimming with dolphin with the dive centre coaches who were very fun people. This island is very close to nature state, walking on sand everywhere and the trees provide the shades. Sunrise and sunset and moonrise can all be seen here. The villas were maintained the same state as it was built over 30 years ago, yet the in room facilities are up to date (large TV, air condition, mini bar, WiFi around the island). There are 2 virgin islands across to walk/kayak/paddle board over to enjoy more nature. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beach is very clean. Last but most important, the food here is my greatest delight. I looked forward to every single meal time. Good buffet variety, delicious and cultural food, esp their very good pastries. Rihiveli is a paradise! We spent here one week with a 2-year old and 11-month old and always felt safe and welcome. The entire team did a great job, always helping us when we were too busy with the kids. Special thanks to all the restaurant staff and dive center staff for taking such a great care. The island is unique, the setting is unique. We had a beach bungalow which was perfect for the whole family. The cleaning service was twice a day, the food was superb!! I do not know what more could someone expect from life when coming to this amazing place. Kudos to the team, you are great! And as for the previous french owners, well, we talked to a random staff, telling us they were not paid for months!! The island is in great hands, with the best team. Also talked about future renovation, which will not be affecting the facilities, only maintaining it. Coming back as soon as possible. Also to mention - the atmosphere on the island is special, because people coming here are mostly ones who return every year, as they know why. It s a place you cannot find easily anywhere!!
