Beautiful pub in idyllic surroundings. Front courtyard is full of tubs of flowers and plants. Outdoor tables are in a mix of sun and shade. Food was super! I had 2 starters - the corn fritters (delicious with spicy sauce) and beetroot hummus with toasted focaccia. My husband had the steak which was beautifully cooked and apparently delicious.
Pub like this are becoming a rarity. Well kept beer and a comfy stay. However, the food is the real highlight here. A varied menu using fine ingredients and cooked by someone who knows and cares about what they are doing. I wish this was my local pub and I hope the locals realise how lucky they are!
Stopped by for lunch. Very enjoyable experience. Everything you hope for at a pretty country pub. Located on a little village green easy parking. Welcoming host, great range of drinks and tasty well cooked food. Duck Ragu pie excellent! Great service, no negatives. Superb value. Retuning soon. Many thanks.
