Ringberg Hotel

While the location is unbeatable and the views are stunning, the rooms are average at most, mattresses are ok, cushions are super thin and not really usable. We signed up for the buffet dinner at EUR 29 including drinks. Pretty expensive for what we actually got: Worst buffet I´ve seen in a long time, meat was dry, the Spaetzle and rice were tasteless. Don´t eat there if you care. Go eat out and only have drinks at the bar which is quite nice.

Good location great view, nice staff, but considering the sorry state of the sunken mattresses, flat pillows, and small size of the rooms, it is really overpriced. Wifi did not work at all during our stay. Breakfast was just average, and buffet dinner was really overpriced at 29€ considering the really low quality of food on offer. Charging for one of the 300-spaces parking in open air, that was mostly empty was a bit petty. Yet, we appreciated the interesting design dating back to the 1970s GDR, and the fact the hotel is dog friendly. It just does not deserve 4 stars, and these high prices.

The staff is very unfriendly and they are totally overburdened by large groups. We had to give our meal order a week in advance and still we had to wait almost 40 minutes after the planned time for our food! The staff didnt apologize in any way and in fact was very rude about all of it. The food portions were really small for the price. The rooms are quite small, the WiFi had very bad reception. No sockets at the bedside. I will definitly not recommend this hotel if I am asked about it.
