Ringhotel Mönchs Waldhotel

Very warm and friendly hotel with great facilities. We had a brilliant time there. Breakfast was great and so was the dinner menu. All staff members were super friendly and helpful. Very happy customer. I will definitely come back!

Nice quiet place. Reasonable view of forest and a pool and sauna. The sauna is not as hot as it should be.

I hate to say this hotel is just a bit short to 4 stars. The location is perfect, such a nice view on the Schwarzwald, with the sound of the water and water mill nearby. Also super friendly and hard working Staff, the diner was also perfect and the suite very spacious. So why 3 stars? - despite the known fact there's hardly any reception for your mobile phone, the Wi-Fi is non-functional within most of the hotel area, including the room. - a lack in maintenance. A lot of stains on walls, curtains, ceiling. The curtains were broken and the outside furniture looks overly used, even shabby. There is carpet on the outside pool area, that is quite nasty - there is no air-conditioning or ventilators, which is not only inconvenient for visitors, but also for said hard working staff, who were profusely sweating - we were hoping to enjoy the view and the sound of the surroundings at night on our terrace/balcony, but the hotel was also booked for a weddingparty. So there was a lot of loud party music going on until after midnight. That's not what we expected in this area, or something that we were informed about beforehand. We definitely would have made a different choice in booking - there's no coffee machine in the suite. - staff doesn't speak sufficient English (or at all) All in all, despite the very nice staff it's a bit underwhelming and outdated.
