Superb location right in the middle of town. A historically significant building that is well-maintained. The staff are excellent. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound. There is much to see and do within easy reach.
Very beautiful hotel located at the marketplace just vis-a-vis the beautiful town hall. Very quiet. Super friendly staff everywhere in this hotel. Very nice and big rooms (we booked comfort category) with direct view to the marketplace. Very good breakfast. The only we missed was a coffee machine in the room. However, there is probably not a better place to stay in Wernigerode. We also booked a welcome package with sparkling wine, chocolate, and fresh fruits, which is very recommended. We will definitely come back.
Stayed during a festiniog travel holiday to the Harz mountains railway. In central Wernigerode. Could not fault anything about the hotel a great experience. Breakfast buffet great. Evening meal in restaurant. Good value and good food cost approximately euro 38. Half liter of local beer would happily return.
