Super nice! Cozy.
A great place to stay that I found by chance! A traditional house has been neatly remodeled. All the facilities are very clean and neat. If you get off at Kiyomizu-michi Station and walk for about 30 seconds? into a residential alley, you will find a quiet and pretty place to stay. I tried a bed and a futon, but I liked the bed because it was comfortable. The stairs are a bit steep, but I thought that this was also an experience, so I enjoyed it. I filled the bathtub with warm water and took a half-body bath, and all my fatigue went away. The first-floor reception room, the second-floor bedroom, and the tatami room all had air conditioning, so I was able to stay cool in the hot weather. There was a washing machine and a clothes dryer in the bathroom, so I could do my laundry! The hotel I had to check in to was near the station, but I was treated politely and was able to easily take a taxi to get there. I would stay here again if I had the chance. If you want to experience a traditional house but are hesitant about staying in an old machiya, I recommend Rinn's Kyomachiya~
