Rise Uptown Hotel

We had a lovely time at Rise Uptown Hotel. We were in Phoenix for my besties graduation. We got there kind of late the first night and the pool bar was already closed so we spent a little bit of time in the hot tub and then went up to the rooftop bar. Ashley and Emily took great care of us. After relaxing for bit at the rooftop bar we got some salad to go and took some drinks back to the room. On the second day we walked over to cartel coffee (located on the property) for some delicious coffee. After the graduation we enjoyed the DJ at the pool along with some food and drinks. I didn't pictures of the first drinks at the pool because they were actually delivered poolside and I didn't have my phone in the pool with me.

Memorial Day weekend at Rise Uptown was an unforgettable mix of charm, relaxation, and just the right amount of indulgence. This place has a vibe—mid-century modern meets seamless cool. There’s something deliciously scandalous about the whole hotel, with a sleek, grown-up energy that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy. Also the staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere and experience. We found the pool to be a little oasis, shaded just right so you’re relaxing, not roasting. The drinks at Lylo were spot on, whether lounging by the water or sitting by the bar. And the drip coffee at Cartel Roasting Co. was rich, smooth, and exactly the fuel needed to rejuvenate in the morning. As well, the rooms are thoughtfully designed with cement floors, minimalist decor, large showers, and airy linens to keep cool. The Rise Uptown absolutely delivered what we were looking for on a staycation over a long weekend. We will be back again and hopefully catch a pool party.

My partner and I were excited to stay at The Rise Hotel for our anniversary. We were especially looking forward to the DJ experience at the pool, which was unfortunately canceled due to “rain”—even though the weather was beautiful and clear all day. Overall, the hotel is stunning. The room was beautifully designed, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary champagne, a sweet note, and treats to celebrate our special occasion. However, our experience at the pool was disappointing and concerning. On May 5th, the pool’s chemical levels seemed unusually high. Both of our bathing suits were damaged beyond repair, and we experienced skin irritation and burning after swimming. We were advised to contact the manager, who requested photos (which we provided promptly), but we have not received a response even after five business days. We understand things can get busy, but this lack of follow-up is concerning, especially since we have to replace expensive swimwear and we couldn’t wear them for the remainder of our trip. The on-site dining was delicious, though it was very pricey—so something to keep in mind. If the situation with the pool is addressed and are compensated for the damage, we’d be happy to update this review to 5 stars, as we did enjoy many aspects of our stay and felt welcomed by the staff.
