Ritz Lagoa da Anta Hotel & SPA

Rooms are large and clean. The bed is marvelously comfortable. Windows must be replaced by sound proof ones as you can hear everything outside. Cleanliness is excellent. Pool area is very good. Service in general is fast and friendly. One last remark is that the beach across the street is polluted and sometimes you can smell it from the pool area. The food at the restaurant is very good. If you are not a noise freak like me, you will love your stay.

Location wise is very close to the beach which is a huge plus. The breakfast here is also very good and the offer many options. There's paid parking at the hotel too. The staff is super friendly and they will make the best to make your stay a pleasant one. The room however was a little bit of a disappointment. It had a very strong mold smell, no hangers for the clothes and no iron or iron board.

I was in this Hotel end of September 2024 for 8 days with my family. There was good stuff about the hotel and some very disappointing stuff that made my stay not so enjoyable and I would probably not return. First on the plus side: nice rooms with nice shower. Pool is really good and breakfast was delicious with different things every day. The location is also good. Not so far away from convenient areas in Maceió. Now to the downsides: On my first day in Maceió just after breakfast some workers came to talk to me and my family about some 30 min presentation that would end up with a gift cupom for a nice restaurant. They don’t talk about what kind of presentation and that thing lasted almost 90 min of our day. They offer a limited offer to that day only and seemed like a scam. So weird. So unnecessary. The gift cupom was much lower value they said it was going to be. But restaurant was good. Then my biggest disappointment was the WiFi in the hotel. It only worked at certain times, constantly disconnecting and reconnecting and you could barely do minimal things like send messages or so. I got free WiFi at the beach that was so much faster than the WiFi at 5 star hotel. I complained 3 times and they always tried to “solve” it but nothing changed. One day trying to order diner through one app the connection was lost and I ordered twice the same thing because of the lost connection and when I tried to cancel I couldn’t because the WiFi was not working and the page was not loading and it was a big inconvenience to try to call the restaurant to cancel. 2 deliveries arrived and I had to send 1 back risking losing my money ( and the delivery guy lost their time too). It was so stressful I can’t imagine if this was a work related mistake.I asked other hotel guests if they had problems with the WiFi and they said they had the same problem, my family was in the 3rd floor and I was in the 6th floor. Same issues. . They ask every day how you enjoying your stay but they don’t really mean it. Lastly the room is not sound proof and you can hear everything from outside. People talking, footsteps..literally everything. People from outside can also hear in the room.
