First time in Mexico! Beautiful hotel. Service is great. People are very friendly there. The beach is beautiful (day and night time). If there was also room service for food, it would be even better! All in all, it's still a great hotel!
Let me start this by saying I have stayed at 20 to 30 different Resorts here in the Cancun and Riviera Maya region, now if price point and cost is your number one priority, then consider this resort, it is for the budget-friendly, price is your number one concern Resort. It is very basic, in a food way, nice but very minimal if that makes sense. The buffet was not bad, nice pool, service was excellent, I must say the people that work here are phenomenal. But it is a No-Frills, basic Resort. Come here if you want the best price to get to a resort with a nice beach, nice pools, okay food and excellent service. We had an issue in the room, wouldn't really cool, fan was loud, no desk to work at so we moved over to the Palace which is a step up and worth it in my opinion. And the lobby has a friendly cat.
This trip was okay. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth the money I spent. The hotel was okay, and the service was okay. The food was OK, It seemed like they didn’t like Americans, and I, for example, waiting for coffee in the morning (even when I was next in line), as the servers outright ignored me and served others in line. I wasn’t acting weird or anything, and this happened more than once. My kids enjoyed it, and I guess that’s most important. The shuttle service through Amstar was terrible. The drivers kept complaining that the “app” wasn’t working right, and they had no idea who they were supposed to pick up or how many people were in the party. We had to go back to a hotel we had left earlier to check if the people were there, only to find out they had taken a taxi to the airport. The ride from the airport to the resort when we first arrived was ridiculous. We landed at 12:30 and didn’t get to the hotel until 2:30 pm—two hours to cover a 40-minute trip because of multiple drop-offs. Overall, I don’t think I would book a vacation to Mexico again — it seemed like they didn’t like Americans, and I felt that it wasn’t worth it, no value.
