Riva del Sole Resort & Spa

The hotel offers correct and adequate services. The pool, beach facilities, and room were all fine and aligned with expectations. It’s a large, well-organized resort, and overall our stay was smooth. However, I would like to mention that two pool bracelets, which are given at check-in and must be returned upon departure, disappeared from our room. I had left them inside before going out for the day, and when we returned, they were no longer there. The only people who had access were the housekeeping staff. Despite reporting the situation, the hotel did not take responsibility and charged us 40 euros for the missing bracelets. I was given a receipt stating the amount could be refunded if they are found.

There was a time, when guests could enjoy the view of the mediterranien sea. We have come here for more than 20 years and everytime after a sunny day at the pool or beach having a drink while enjoying the beautiful sight over the mediterranien sea at the Bar Riva always was THE gem of our stay. For many years nothing could compare to this real holiday feeling. Now these times are over. For which crazy reasons ever, the Management decided to block access to this important asset of the Resort, for the sake of opening a Restaurant there, which serves dishes nobody has asked for. The webpage doesn't mention that important downgrade compared to the decades before; no Information what so ever discloses this change. Honestly - it's not great to feel tricked. One can see how uncomfortable the personnel is feeling, letting guests alone with their complaints and frustration. If we would have known before, we wouldn't have booked this year. Next year, now that we know.... Sorry, Riva del Sole - we once had a great time.

This place is way too expensive for it has to offer. Lame service, no hot water in sauna room, the pool is cold and definitely doesn’t get cleaned often. The cleaning service cost €150 every time you want to clean your room and you want to clean it every day because you bring the sand from the beach. The internet is very weak, couldn’t even install our baby camera because of how weak WiFi signal is. In some rooms it simply didn’t work. The promise’s got only one bar with limited inventory (and €5 for a cup of coffee) and one restaurant with poor reviews. They checked us in late (we had to wait for 2,5 hour with a 1 year old baby in hands) and when checking out they would not let us stay an hour late so we can pack with no rush. For the money they charge they could do a way much better job and service. Wouldn’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it. UPDATED REVIEW since the establishment replied. 1. I personally got charged €5 for a cup of coffee At riva Bar and you have audacity to tell me that I lied. Well in this case i was taken an advantage by your personal since I dont speak Italian 2. Out baby monitor WORKED in every other hotel but NOT yours. Our master bedroom had 0 internet coverage for the entire staying at your place.
