River Hotel

Outstanding Stay – Special Thanks to Jock! I had an incredible experience at The River Hotel/Chicago, and a big part of that was thanks to Jock, who went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, Jock was welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive. Whether it was recommending local spots, helping with special requests, or just checking in to make sure everything was perfect, he handled it all with warmth and efficiency. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to guest satisfaction, and Jock truly stood out. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but it was Jock’s hospitality that really made the difference. I left feeling well taken care of, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thank you again to the whole team – and especially to Jock – for making this such a memorable stay!

I had a wonderful stay here while I was on vacation for a concert. I was greeted upon my arrival and shown how to check in. I was also given directions on how best to get to Wrigley (this hotel is in a great spot if you want to save on money and are going to the stadium! 5 min walk to the Lake Station which takes you directly there). My room was very nice in a little corner of the hallway. Everything was clean and I loved the view from my window and spent a bit of my downtown just watching the boats on the river. The only small complaint I had was that there was no soap in the bathroom but it was a very minor inconvenience since I brought my own bodywash. The location for this hotel was also a huge hit for me with it being located downtown! Not counting the train trip to the stadium, I walked everywhere to go to the various shops and restaurants located nearby. Overall I loved this hotel and I can't wait for my next stay there that is coming up this month!

The room we had was a small room making it very tight with two people and two suitcases. However it was tidy and felt fresh. The service we received was top notch, we requested a blanket and heater and the request was actioned immediately. The location of this hotel was perfect for us with everything within walking distance. The parking of Randolf Street is a little bit of a walk with bags but not too bad. Parking was included for our stay, just needed the ticket to be validated at the hotel reception.
