Our family had a 4 day and 3 night stayed at River Kwai Resotel and stayed at one of the family rooms. It was cozy and close to nature. We had a blast! It was a rejuvenating experience.The rooms are spacious, clean and complete. The gardens are jungle themed and look absolutely stunning. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant is superb and offers a variety of food. The breakfast is good. We believe this place holds great potential and we look forward to visiting again with our family . We are hopeful that on our next visit, the service and overall experience would be further enhanced to make it truly exceptional.I would recommend this resort for all my local and overseas friends.
The room and location was immaculate (and great value for money). I’ve knocked them down due to the VERY limited options for allergen friendly/ vegan food. Okay for one night but after a couple this took a tool on our energy levels. At breakfast we couldn’t eat any of the hot dishes nor many cold options, no non-dairy milks available including at the cafe, and at dinner everything had to be tweaked (of the five veggie options they had, with one unavailable). Communicating this was also difficult even with google translate (though one staff member was great) where we ended up with mayo repeatedly. I’d be concerned for people who are allergic. If they improved their allergen friendly food offerings and labelling though, this would easily be a 8/10. Staff also needed more training (we asked 4 separate people about the bike hire, including at reception and no one except a grounds keeper knew what to do despite it being in the brochure). Also please provide an accessible water cooler for guests to use.
The room is good and the atmosphere is truly the highlight — very peaceful and surrounded by beautiful plants and trees, especially the palm varieties. However, the service could be better. We had to ask several times for mosquito repellent, and dinner service was quite slow. The pool is also smaller than expected.
