Riverside Hotel

Excellent service! Safe location! Very nice people!

I stayed here recently during a business trip. Where some of the hotels in the Salvador area can seem slightly dangerous, this hotel felt secluded and very secure from the rough and tumble of the nearby metropolis. The overall condition of this resort area hotel is just OK. You can see that there is some wear and tear that needs to be addressed before it is really deserving of a 5-star review. The air conditioning in the room smelled musty and the hot water in the shower was inconsistent. The first two days I was unable to take a hot shower and the remaining time it was never super hot. The sliding door to my balcony was nearly impossible to open as well. The food here is quite good, however -the breakfasts were always diverse and changed around daily. I ate at the restaurant one night and it was very good as well. The beach is beautiful and also felt secure. Very relaxing.

The rooms don’t have sound isolation. There was an event having very loud speakers and music until well beyond midnight in the hotel - despite the noise and the impossibility of sleep, the staff would not intervene on the grouns of “they paid for it”. Impossible to sleep and very disrespectful to other guests. Abovd all to be avoided.
