Riverside Inn Guilin Central

Great location in a lovely Japanese-styled rooms with tatami mats and a tea set. Location: Faces the Li River with a road in between. Short walk to the Elephant Hill area, and the lively pedestrian shopping street just behind it. The surrounding area comes alive at night with buskers along the Li River promenade, and food and shopping just behind. Very convenient to take a didi car to any location. Room: Modern with Japanese touches like the tatami mats. I like the layout which has a foyer to take off shoes before stepping into the room which is a raised wooden platform. The room is also very well-lit and bright. You must remember to pull the curtains for privacy cos the front is all glass. Tye galss panels lets in lots of light and faces the tree lined promenade so I really like it. Ear plugs are provided for light sleepers but I found the noise level ok.

This review is for the Riverside Wing Hotel, it is not a hostel as they say in another comment. Its actual location is on the corner of Yiren Street and Bingjang Street. The location is perfect, next to the Pagdas Park and the views of Elephant Hill, and very close to the streets of food stalls, with good cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was very good. The floor bed was really comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly and was very good. It has a small refrigerator, the air conditioning works well and there is space for suitcases. There is a very large window that overlooks the street, although the trees block all views. There is hardly any noise. The hotel service has been impeccable, friendly and explaining everything to us from the beginning, offering us activities and even giving us a small gift when leaving. We have been very comfortable. The only cons would be that it did not have breakfast, although there are good cafes and pastries nearby, the only slow elevator, which at times made you wait several minutes, and that it was a little more expensive than in other areas. However, we are very satisfied and would repeat without hesitation.

Beautiful hostel, very friendly & helpful staff. We even received a gift from Bruce and Alyssa. & Jenny organized an incredibly beautiful tour into the mountains for us. Highly recommended.
