You can tell this hotel has a great management team! Awesome hotel, amazing location, great value but above all the staff were all top notch! They truly went above and beyond! The reception team, housekeeping, the bellman team, and the restaurant staff - all were very professional and hospitable! As an ambassador I received an upgraded room, we got early check-in and late checkout. We had a stunning view and the beach was less than 5 min walk!

My recent stay at the Riviera Marriott Hotel La Porte de Monaco for one night was quite disappointing. The staff throughout the hotel was actually quite friendly, and the restaurant had both a charming atmosphere and friendly service. While the food was average, it was reasonably priced, so expectations were met. Unfortunately, the room itself was a disaster. The walls were so thin that every sound from the bathroom and hallway was impossible to ignore. The entire room felt outdated and badly in need of renovation, offering no comfort or coziness whatsoever. Both the bathroom and the rest of the room were in poor condition. The lighting was insufficient, and the curtains were inadequate, allowing light in during the morning, which affected sleep quality. The bed was okay but a bit squeaky. Despite the presence of a balcony, smoking was prohibited, which is very odd and should have been made clearer and communicated beforehand. The shower was the only decent aspect. Considering the price tag of over 500 EUR per night (during the off-season but coinciding with a nearby tennis tournament), and it being a 4-star hotel, this stay was a complete disappointment. I regret not spending 300 EUR more for a genuinely good hotel, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. I’m giving 2 stars overall, mostly thanks to the friendly staff and the decent restaurant. But the room experience alone was worth just 1 star — and that’s ultimately what matters most when you’re paying over 500 EUR per night.

Hotel is dated, run-down and service from front house staff and Manager were awful. No idea of customer service, very disappointing compared to other hotels in Monaco. Breakfast was hostel-style more than a high-end buffet, would not recommend this hotel and we will not stay here again.
