Rixos Almaty Hotel

I stayed in this hotel couple of weeks ago. My experience with the hotel and with it’s staff was exceptionally good. Rooms were spacious, neat, clean and with all the necessary amenities. Plenty of SPA options and of high quality. Breakfast buffet was excellent with options of all the possible items. Overall experience was excellent.

We stayed in Rixos Almaty for 3 nights on our holiday in Kazakhstan and we had a pleasant stay. Check-in and check-out process was swift and easy. The location is central and very convenient. The property is lovely with spacious rooms and good amenities. The snow capped Mountain View from our room was wow! Downside, the room and the bathroom were dated and need an upgrade. The breakfast selection was great. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

We chose Rixos expecting a true 5-star experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. Our room AC wasn’t working, and despite several complaints, the staff took an entire day to respond, which was very frustrating. Eventually, they changed our room — but packing and unpacking again on a vacation was a hassle. Room service is also very slow, which added to the inconvenience. Also, for a hotel of this standard, we expected better vegan breakfast options — very limited choices for plant-based guests. The property and brand have potential, but service quality needs serious improvement.
