I had the pleasure of staying at The Charles Hotel – Rocco Forte Hotels in Munich, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was truly luxurious, and I was generously offered a free room upgrade upon check-in — a gesture that reflects the brand’s deep-rooted hospitality. The room was impeccable, combining elegance with comfort. A thoughtful touch: all S.Pellegrino waters were complimentary, a rare and appreciated detail. The indoor swimming pool, beautifully designed and perfect for relaxation, is one of the highlights — nearly 20 meters long and surrounded by a serene ambiance. The hotel’s location is ideal for tourists, just steps away from the old town and surrounded by greenery. Generosity and attention to detail seem to be part of their DNA. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a refined and memorable stay in Munich.
Awesome hotel! Was recommended by a colleague. Spa was great with my coworkers raving about it. Service was excellent with great recommendations for things to see, eat, and do within walking distance. Within walking distance of old district. Surprisingly quiet. They also have walking maps. Breakfasts were excellent with local foods, freshly squeezed juices, a wide selection for every palate. Even a welcome plate of chocolates! Hope to come back.
Upscale hotel, with friendly staff and nice indoor swimming pool. At the price level you'd expect everything to be perfect, but this is sadly not the case. On a hot day, the bathroom in our room was extremely warm, the floor heating and towel rack were what I can only describe as full power. To my surprise, no control console, so had no other option than to call reception. The staff reacted promptly and someone came within 5 minutes. We left for a while, with the expectation that it would still take sometime for it to cool down. Unfortunately it did not seem have been fixed, and arriving late after dinner we encountered that it was still extremely hot. With the bathroom door closed and the AC, the room was temperature became reasonable. I'm sure this is a one tine issue, and not representative of the quality of the hotel. Not accounting for this issue, the room was nice, with a great view to the Frauenkirche. Nice breakfast buffet and friendly front-desk staff. The restaurant did not meet our expectations though.
