The hotel is truly enjoyable! The rooms are spacious, and both the bedroom and bathroom are impeccably clean. The beds are very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the excellent soundproofing means there is no noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. The hotel also offers fantastic amenities – the gym, swimming pool, and sauna are perfect for relaxation and staying active. The location is very convenient, with easy access to public transport, and the beach is just a 10-minute bus ride away. The reception staff is helpful. Highly recommended!
Didn't find staff in the hotel overly friendly other than an Irish lady serving breakfast. Lots of food available for breakfast. Bacon not nice as chewy and not cooked properly. Rooms were clean other than a lump of chewing gum stuck to the adjoining door in Room 206. Mentioned to reception. Bathroom was a good size with great shower. Not enough towels for us all however. Toilet was wobbly and didn't feel very safe, also mentioned to reception. Very warm in main room as heating was on in bathroom which was not necessary at all in July. Hotel outside Dublin which suited us as we drove to Glenageary station and took the Dart into Tara Street. Local places such as Dun Laoghaire were lovely to visit. Lots of car parking available including an underground car park.
It's a nice enough hotel and it's kept very clean. But it is very basic. I stayed just one night and was €200 which I don't think is justified for what you get with your room. Room has no safe, no mini bar. Bed was a bit small. Very poorly lit room. No electrical sockets near the mirrors either. Very poor design choice. Shower was a bit disappointing too. Shower head position cannot be adjusted. So you have to stand at the very top of the bath and directly under the shower. Not ideal at all. I wouldn't bother using the iron and ironing board they provide. The ironing board is too small to fit one piece of clothing on. It's also non-steam iron so basically doesn't iron clothes at all. One thing I do have say on a plus side, is that the room TV came with most streaming services preinstalled. Which is great. Even though I didn't use the TV much it's nice to have that option. Honestly if this is what is offered in this hotel at that price point, the prices need to drop dramatically. There are plenty of other hotels with much nicer rooms for the same price. Very bad value.
