Great place to stay! The building was clean and so was the room. The room had everything we needed for our one night stay. We did not have any issue to find parking spot outside the building, which was on first-come first-serve bases. The location was a quiet place only a few min drive to downtown. Nice breakfast with variety of foods. Kids enjoyed the pool. Staff was very helpful and responsive, we did not encounter any issue. Will definitely go back again!
We checked in around 1am after calling hours earlier to let them know of the late check-in, everything went smoothly. Their ample parking lot was full so I parked next to a lawn and let them know, they didn't have a problem with this. So staff were flexible and all around smiles. My experience and stay here was overall a 5 stars worthy, the only thing that didn't rank well with me was the size of their pool - it was tiny with an awesome water slide, but the pool itself was tiny. Approx 20-25ft by 15ft, 3'-6" to 5' deep though it really didn't even feel 5' deep. The waterslide deposited us into the deep end which was great, though at 160lb, my upper back grazed the pool floor each time - no harm done, just a caution for others of similar weight and what to expect. The pool was extremely popular - too much so for the size. IMO. Do I recommend? Yes, do come and stay here, the continental breakfast experience is what you'd expect. They pack up around 9:30AM for a 10AM close, come earlier than 9am for all the options, staff isn't short with the customers at all - mostly staffed with young people.
Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised - I recently stayed at this hotel for one night and, unfortunately, found that it does not align with the luxury experience it advertises. While the location is convenient—just a 10-minute drive to Charlottetown and Victoria Row—the property itself is outdated and lacks many of the basic amenities expected at this price point. The room was not in good condition: it was dimly lit, one of the lamps was broken, and the air conditioning did not work. The bathroom was very small and understocked with toiletries and towels. Additionally, the room had double beds rather than the advertised queens, which was not communicated prior to arrival. The room’s window faced an interior hallway, eliminating any natural light or privacy. There is also no elevator access to the room, which is up two flights of stairs. This was not disclosed at booking, and no assistance was offered by staff upon check-in. Photos are not realistic to the rooms available, pool offers views of a parking lot and doesn’t open until 8am and closes at 10pm. The hotel does offer a hot breakfast, which is appreciated, but it is entirely self-serve with no staff present to monitor or assist, raising some concerns about hygiene and cleanliness. Overall, while the location is a benefit, the property does not deliver on its promises and is more reflective of a basic 2-star hotel. It is not worth the premium price, and clearer, more honest advertising would help set more accurate expectations for future guests. There are much better hotels closer to Victoria Row / downtown Charlotte Town. But I would recommend renting a car if you’re visiting this area to explore all of the local beaches, parks and shops!
