Roman Camp Hotel

Ate at the restaurant last night, and it was quite certainly the best dining experience we have had in a long long time. Superb ambiance. Exceptional service. Creative and delicious food. Would highly recommend this place to others. Just sad that we did not discover it decades ago!!

Had a very relaxing 2 night stay here while recovering from surgery. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and when relaxing in the lounge (drawing room) they popped in from time to time to see if we required anything. Some reviewers have called the decor tired, but I generally would call it in keeping with the history of the place. Although some areas could benefit from a refresh, this did not detract from my enjoyment of my visit. The food was excellent both at breakfast and at the Potting Shed bistro in the grounds for an evening meal. Here the ambience at night was excellent with great food, candlelight, well place downlighting and pleasant, unobtrusive music. Have booked to return again for a short stay in late Spring and really looking forward to seeing the beautiful gardens with some colour.

An exquisite location in Callander! Eric and Marion showed us 10 star service. The hotel is captured in time, the history of Roman Camp is interesting and seen throughout! The gardens are immaculate and span across acres. A highlight was the food and service! You just don't see hospitality like this anymore. I can imagine having a wedding here, it would be the perfect location. I would return in a heartbeat to Roman Camp!
