Romantik Hotel Die Krone von Lech

This review is about the restaurant: We entered through their open courtyard on a rainy day, and it turned out to be a wonderful decision. We were served the most delightful and meticulously prepared vegan curry lentil cream soup (Curry Linsen Cremesuppe). It was so flavorful and comforting that we cherished the taste all the way through the day in Lech. The service was top-notch—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They received our request for a vegan dish with real sympathy and a sincere willingness to accommodate us. A lovely experience all around!

We had no reservation and came here, literally, by accident. The intention for the day was to travel from the town of Meersberg Germany to Innsbruck. There was an extreme delay on a major highway, so we opted for secondary roads. One of the roads we were to take was closed for unknown reasons, so we changed our goal and continued south. As it was getting late in the day and we needed a place to stay, we happened to stop at Die Krones vs. any of the other hotels, not having any prior knowledge of this place. Our welcome at the counter was friendly and the staff exceptional in every possible way. We were offered two rooms and selected a room with a view and a balcony. After some additional pleasant conversation with the manager during the check-in, we were offered an even nicer room at no additional cost. To say the room and the view are stunning would be an understatement. The furnishings are all of fine quality. The bathroom is extremely luxurious. Until we were in the midst of check-in, we did not know the hotel had a beautiful full service spa. And it's included in the price. To be honest, I had never seen anything as opulent and elegant as this spa. We took advantage of it after check-in and again in the morning. A lovely, full breakfast is also included. Staying here is truly one of the highlights of a two week trip through five countries. I feel privileged to have stumbled upon this gem. If I could rate it a ten, I surely would.

This place is a must try!! It was probably the best steak I’ve ever had, the restaurant is well decorated and there is such a nice atmosphere. It’s relaxing, it’s fancy, it’s whatever you want it to be. I’ve added the receipt for our meal for two…..oh, try the Schnapps Wagen! Huge selection to try. Make sure to book in advance. Dog friendly in certain areas.
