Lovely afternoon tea served with a very nice Prosecco and copious amounts of tea (or coffee if you prefer). Great service with friendly staff. Venue has certainly changed since I knew it as a pig farm! Great wedding venue with lots of facilities and accommodation, including an in-house spa. Lovely gardens for some great photos! Worth checking out....

Really enjoyed my time here, wish they had boiled egg opinion, the people were great and the service was great, massage is a bit pricey though but it was great too. My wife who was pregnant could eat the powdered scramble eggs hence why she was disappointed they had no other choice. That aside she and I had a wonderful time throughout room had balcony with great views, no mini bars or fridge though. We enjoyed the fact that we were opposite a dairy farm, especially when you coming from the city. Overall if your looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere then we would recommend this location 15 minutes drive to the nearest beach too. View from our room..

Our room not what the marketing material suggests, sadly! Stayed just one night on the strength of the Rookery Manor pictures. Beautiful grounds, lovely building, but our room was in an annex, which housed the laundry room! A building with two levels and three rooms with bathroom on each floor, with an entrance for each floor, away from the main building. Our room was adequately appointed with tea and coffee making facilities but lacking in a fridge, safe or air conditioning. The carpet in our room though of reasonable quality, had stains made by previous guests, which could have easily been cleaned, was not pleasing to see. The bed was large enough and was very comfortable, but pillows were not so good for me. After three attempts at calling the reception, I was finally asked to spell my request, which was: could I have a 'feather filled' pillow. Over an hour later housekeeping knocked the door to say they do not have any! We found the meal in the evening very nice and enjoyable and so was the breakfast, staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately the carpet in the restaurant and the bar area could have done with a shampoo occasionally as they smelled of dirty feet!!! Unfortunately we will not be returning due to the remoteness of the place and we would have given a mark of 2.5 if we could.
