room2 Southampton Hometel

I had a wonderful stay at Room 2 Southampton Hotel! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — a big thank you to the entire team! Special thanks to the restaurant staff — they were extremely kind and the food was delicious. The coffee was also professionally made and very enjoyable. Although the lift broke down at check-out time, the staff acted quickly and kindly helped us carry our luggage without hesitation. I truly appreciate the thoughtful service and hospitality from everyone at the hotel and restaurant. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at room2 Southampton while visiting family, along with our 2-year-old and two dogs. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating—nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to engage with our toddler and make us all feel truly welcome. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable—ideal for a family break. The drinks on arrival and the included breakfast made our stay excellent value for money. We also loved the flexibility of being able to swap breakfast for brunch, which meant we could skip lunch—such a thoughtful and budget-friendly perk. The 2pm checkout was another brilliant touch that really helped us enjoy a relaxed departure. While the coffee machine was unfortunately out of order, the team were quick to apologise and went above and beyond to make up for it with their attentive service. A huge thank you to Nat, Ronald, Reece, Talia, Rio, and Grace—an amazing team who helped make our stay so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Spacious rooms and nice bed, bathroom was large as well. Nice little kitchen area with a table seating 4, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. Floors were a bit dirty, otherwise the room was clean. We booked a triple room, and were offered an extra bed upon arrival. Had to ask twice for extra towels, since there were only towels for 2. Breakfast was great with a nice choice from a menu, but the wait was long on the weekends, about 45 min... a bit difficult with a 3-year old child. The hotel seems understaffed, the staff was friendly and did as best they could but seemed stressed. One out of two elevators was out of service during our 4 day stay, and we were depending on the elevator as we had a pushchair.
