An excellent hotel that is conveniently located for the vibrant V&A Waterfront area of Cape Town. The room was well appointed but not sure about the bath being part of the room - a bit quirky. The staff are super efficient and friendly, always with a smile on their face. The breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and very fresh.
Wonderful place to stay. I was having the most terrible jet lag and went down to the restaurant at about 2am. Nosive, who was setting up for breakfast, greeted me with the biggest most welcoming smile, got me something to drink and then chatted with me for a while. Nosive showed me so much kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality I thought for sure she was a manager. I have since left and find myself still thinking of that interaction. I can honestly say it was the highlight of my stay! Nosive you are lovely! Thank you!
The location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is good. We especially liked the eggs chef who was so friendly and always remembered us. We didn't mind that the elevator was not available as it was being repaired. These things happen. The only problem was the scheduling of room cleaning. Twice we had maids walk in on us without knocking thinking they were entering an empty room. Cleaning started way too early in the morning and always woke us up. On our last morning the maid knocked on the door and woke us up early. Since checkout is at 10:00 they should never try to enter before that. We arranged a late checkout the night before we left, but the front desk agent in the morning had not been informed and sounded irritated when she called at 10:00 to ask when we were leaving. This can be fixed with better organization.
