Rooms at the Apple Pie

Can't beat the location,the staff or the cleanliness. But it's the small well thought of things that matter and those were done well. Wine glasses, bottle opener,access to fresh milk in morning and real coffee,couldn't ask for more. Not to mention free parking.We enjoyed our stay so much, we've booked for 3 days later in the year. Brilliant

I walked down the street from my hotel and saw this bakery I waled in and purchased a premium sausage roll and jam donut these were fresh and full of flavour you could taste the care that went in

Stayed in room 2 as it was dog friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, bathroom only small but perfectly fine for a couple of days. Location was ideal for local shops and restaurants and walks, small carpark at the front is handy. The only negative is the pillows are flat as a pancake, we woke up with stiff necks and it was hard to get comfortable through the night. Also there was nowhere to put toiletries in the shower so shampoo etc had to go on the floor, there were a few cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, and other residents decided to have a conversation outside the room early in the morning! a little annoying. But I would recommend the rooms if you want a couple of days in Ambleside, we love this part of the lakes and visit every year.
