I loved this hotel. They offer some seriously good food - even something as small as the croquetas were stunning. The room was perfect. Not large, but comfortable, air conditioned and well maintained. My partner was I’ll for the first part of our stay and we required a lot of room service for food and other things. This was very quick and provided with the friendliness we came to expect of the staff. It’s a great area in Lima - lots of restaurants, bookshops and cafes - and we couldn’t have asked for more at the price we paid

Great hotel, very well located in San Isidro. The staff was particularly helpful, especially Ana Gabriela and Jheral at the reception desk. Many thanks to them and other colleagues!

Unable to get a good night sleep the entire 6 days I stayed, due to the outdoor traffic (the hotel faces a heavily congested street during morning rush hours). Add to that the incessant rumbling of the room's antiquated AC, all kinds of noises that enter the room through the single pane flimsy glass windows, plus the thin walls which allow next door conversations to be part of one's own private room and more than likely one will stay up all night as I did. The curtains are so poorly designed they cannot block the hotel's own outdoor lights, or the reflections that bounced off from surrounding shiny surfaces. If you are in luck, at 3:00 am a bus with a running engine, will stop in front of the hotel to pick up guests that have stayed only one night, to take them to a tour in Ica. All these passengers are as chatty as magpies at dawn, oblivious to the disruption their incessant chat causes to those of us that are trying to fall asleep. This used to be a wonderful quiet neighborhood back in the 80's, but Lima has become no man's land, preyed by greedy real estate developers and authorities alike, the result being overconstruction and incessant traffic. Think Mumbai or Bangkok. The hotel is in dire need of a major renovation. Nothing has been updated since it was inagurated in the 1990's. Everything is oeprated manually, starting with the elevator all the way to the safe box, which won't close on its own unless one makes an extra turn with the knob. The bathtub is 1/3 of a normal size one, and I guess would be an infant's delight but not an adult. The breakfast (included), has portions that would barely satisfy a toddler. After two days of getting granola in a miniature recipient I decided to just walk out and found better and more filling choices on Miguel Dasso. Oh and there is an extra fee of about $10.00 USD which is unjustifiable as there are no amenities to speak of. I guess that fee covers that meagre breakfast so it is a win win for the management only.
