Rose and Crown Hotel

A slightly strange experience. I booked for a one night stop over. Monday night to Tuesday. When I arrived at the set arrival time, the hotel/pub/ restaurant was closed , signage indicating the pub/ bar was closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Another guest happened to be leaving and let me In , the place was deserted , a couple of phone calls and a very polite and friendly receptionist checked me in and helped register for parking and I got my room key . The room itself was basic but for £60 a night it was what I expected. I will say the bed was super comfortable!! I didn't try the food but it smelled amazing .

The rooms weren't clean. The bathroom had wires sticking out over the sink. The bathroom smelt of mold. The carpets were sticky. The handrail to go upstairs were black with muck so didn't use it. The beds weren't comfortable.

Kindly update your parking signage! You keep fining people despite them paying na displaying. Guess what: I’m going through Appeal and court if need to but I am not paying for your poor management! Keep checking the news too! And hope your tax reports and Food safety standards and practices are up to date!
