Rose and Goat Retreat

We chose this spot for a little weekend getaway near the lake. We were blown away by the comfort and peace we felt at the Happy Goat Retreat. Our shipping container accommodation was great for the two of us and had everything we needed. They even gave us complimentary items like water, snacks, S’mores items, and firewood. They also give you complimentary feed for the goats. The pool was heated just enough to be comfortable but was still refreshing on a warm day. They have a lot of outdoor games available as well that we were able to play. There are so many fun things to do in the surrounding area and each time we came back to settle in or hang out, we were able to continue our fun at the Happy Goat Retreat. We will definitely be back!

We had the best time! I was beyond impressed with our weekend stay! Gretchen was so helpful in making us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back! From goats to the heated pool and so many games available in the barn. Everything was well maintained and clean. You can tell they really care. It felt like a mini vacation without the miles. Everyone should check it out. Extremely family friendly. There were a variety of stays that weekend from couples to families and our daughters 10th birthday surrounded by friends but there was so much to do and so much space that there was no encroachment on each others stay. So fun and best birthday ever! Gretchen is absolutely amazing!

My husband and I hosted a surprise wedding here for our close family and friends. Gretchen was incredible helping us plan, set-up, and clean up the entire weekend. She made sure we had everything we needed and assisted us the entire way through the planning process. My entire family now wants to come back every year for a reunion/anniversary at the property! We can't say enough good things about this place and everyone who runs it!
