We had a lovely weekend staying at the Novotel Rotorua. The staff were excellent and friendly. The room was very sunny, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the lake. Car parking was a breeze and the location was perfect. A very short walk to eat street where there are plenty of places to eat. We had the breakfast buffet at the Novotel each morning and the food was very tasty with alot of things to choose from. We would definitely stay at the Novotel Rotorua again.
We had an amazing stay. The pre-arroval communication was fantastic. The service was amazing. The hotel is definitely old, and the rooms are in need for a refurb, but the location is hard to beat. The pool and spa pools were so beautiful and allowed us to check in and enjoy without needing to go anywhere.
The staff were super friendly. We loved the kid's playroom in the lobby. Such a nice touch and it proved super useful as multiple households traveling together. Our kids were occupied and happy while the adults waited for each other / worked out itineraries etc. The beds were very comfy. There was a bit of a faff with figuring out the parking situation. All in all, a solid 8.
