Great location! You can see the sea in the reception area and our sea view room did not disappoint. Comfortable mattress. Everything was clean. Service was very professional and pleasant. Would love to come back some day!

Absolutely amazing hotel. Right from the beginning in the reception we got all the detail and guidance we could need. Even the lady behind the desk helped us with all available vegan restaurants in the city so we didn't need to find them ourselves. We had a lovely upgraded room to a sea view which was beautiful and made the stay even more wondrous. We are both a little shy, but we met a lovely member of staff that encouraged us to use all the facilities and made us feel comfortable like we were at home. Pools and sauna are lovely, breakfast with a view and loads of choice. Fully recommend we will be back.

I’ve stayed in a range of 5-star hotels and this is nowhere close – more like a 3-star at best. The Royal Blue shares everything (breakfast, facilities, pools) with the other “Royal” hotels in the area, so – just book the cheapest one in the collection if you must stay here. The views are stunning, and the rooftop is a nice spot for sunset, but the whole place feels tired and grotty. It needs renovation. Even the amazing setting doesn’t make it worth staying here. Room was clean, but the hallways and our room smelled awful – probably the cleaning products or air freshener they use. We ended up spending as little time in the hotel as possible because it just gave us the ick. Only sea view rooms have a king bed – otherwise it’s two queens (which wasn’t made clear at booking). Staff were unhelpful and check-in/out was slow and unwelcoming, especially when we arrived at 9pm. The breakfast was genuinely disgusting – mouldy bread at the toaster, flies everywhere, ingredients looked cheap, eggs were cooked in a cup of cheap chip oil so tasted rank. We didn’t go back after the first day and wouldn’t eat in any of their restaurants based on that hygiene. Other issues: • No cushions on the sunbeds • Pools are tiny and very different to the photos • Staff were the least friendly we met in Croatia • The whole place just feels gross The views are incredible – but not enough to save the experience. I couldn’t wait to leave. Don’t stay here.
