We had the most amazing stay at Royal Blue we even extended our stay a couple more nights! We saw reviews saying it’s a 4 star hotel with 5 star employees. The hotel itself was lovely, super clean, great pool and great breakfast. The location is close to the airport but the planes are not noisy, it’s actually lovely to watch them flying in and out. It is in the mountains so the views are stunning. Great if you have a car! If you don’t, taxis are around €12 each way to Porto and are pretty easy to get! The staff here are the winners! Everyone was so calm and friendly, great advice for recommendations for places. One member in particular, Nikola, absolutely made our holiday! We felt like we have made a friend who not only provided amazing service but gave a great stories of Montenegro and really made us smile every day! Thank you so much Royal Blue!

As an event organizer and executive coach, I recently hosted a multi-day coaching retreat for senior bank executives at Royal Blue—and I’m happy to say it was a truly rewarding experience. From the very beginning, the staff were professional, warm, and hands-on, acting more like true partners than just a venue team. Their support before, during, and after the event made a real difference. Every request was handled with care, and their presence added calm and clarity throughout the program. The restaurant was very good for resort kitchen, Argentinian team ,offering fresh, varied meals that met the high standards of our group. The common areas were spotless, and the team clearly takes pride in maintaining a polished, professional environment. The pool and the view deserve a special mention—absolutely top. After intense coaching sessions and workshops, it was a huge plus for our participants to unwind with such a relaxing setting. The hotel’s location, tucked into the hills with a panoramic view of the bay and close to the airport, makes it ideal for retreats. It offers seclusion and inspiration without being isolated. The standard room bathrooms were a bit on the smaller side, and a few details were missing in-room, but this was understandable given that the hotel is still refining its operations. What stood out is the management team’s openness to feedback and their genuine desire to improve—a rare and valuable quality. There is, of course, room for improvement, but working with such an engaged and motivated team made it easy. They were true collaborators, and I look forward to seeing how Royal Blue evolves into a top-tier destination for leadership retreats and executive events.

The property is well-placed if you have a car, roughly ten minutes in either direction to Tivat or Kotor Old Town. Just be aware that the approach is via very narrow lanes, so confident driving (and a smallish car) is a plus. Although the building is relatively new, the overall impression is more functional than polished. The staff were pleasant enough, but housekeeping felt a little on the half-hearted side, things like topping up shower gel or toilet paper only happened when requested, and bed linen wasn’t changed despite being obviously soiled. If you’re looking for somewhere budget-friendly and manage your expectations, it does the job. Just don’t come expecting boutique-hotel standards.
