Royal Chace Hotel

We went here for lunch and enjoyed excellent, polite and attentive service. The food was freshly prepared and tasted absolutely delicious. Decor is comfortable and welcoming, especially the sofas in the bar area. I can't fault the food I've eaten at this hotel both in restaurant and bar. Consistently very good indeed and we will continue to visit.

My family used the Royal Chace Hotel for my mothers funeral wake. Jenifer from the events department helped us immensely, and we ended up choosing the Pavilion venue for the event. This venue set in the garden of the hotel was the perfect choice. Clean and airy, with a lovely view of the lawn, and the fountain. The banqueting manager Josie and her staff were all very pleasant, and also helpful to those present who were less able to stand. The food, which was pre-ordered, arrived on time, the portions were large, and was delicious. We all had a lovely time. My brother stayed at the hotel with his family, for two nights prior and after the wake, and he had no complaints (I asked). He enjoyed the bar area and the breakfast. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. Thank you to the staff for helping to make my mothers wake a pleasant experience.

Room a little on the small side, but facilities satisfactory. Cleanliness good. Shortage of towels on arrival, a face flannel on our second day and request for more tea bags met with immediate and polite attention. Food very good - ate in Brasserie first night - most satisfactory for the majority of our immediate party. Breakfasts superb - good range of cereals and fruit, cooked items hot, and tea abundant! Toaster a bit slow, despite that toast underdone! Supper in Bar on Sunday very enjoyable, helped by a reasonable menu. Wedding breakfast (Jocelyn & Chris) excellent - food very satisfactory and service very good. Above all, I would like to compliment the dining/breakfast room staff (indeed all staff we encountered) for their attentiveness, their consideration and preparedness to help (including several kind offers to cut up my food as I had a broken arm!), all of which gave us a very positive view of the Royal Chace Hotel.
