“1019-1 BR Suite” The check-in and check-out process was flawless. The receptionists spoke English and were able to answer all our basic questions about the hotel. The room was amazing, and as someone who is very detail-oriented, I did a thorough cleanliness check—even inspecting the tiniest and most hidden areas—and was pleasantly surprised to find everything spotless! The room offered a selection of capsule coffee, instant coffee, a generous assortment of tea, bottled water, Coke, and even an energy drink. The colorful cups were a nice touch. The bathroom was enormous, gorgeous, and impeccably clean. This was actually the first time I used a bathtub in all the hotels I've ever visited! Both the bed and couch were incredibly comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The hallway was super clean and quiet, and the lobby was spacious and classy. The gym, tea room, and chit-chat area were also good. I absolutely loved this hotel! However, it wasn't perfect. There were minor issues with the parking lot and food, but they were acceptable. Overall, I highly recommend booking this hotel specifically this room!"
Spent a night there before heading to Alishan. The hotel looks grant, a little dated, but clean. We booked a family room with 2 full beds. Bed is comfy. Restaurant food is good, especially services. We went during a typhoon and Chiayi had flood warning everywhere. Most of businesses around was closed so and the area was pretty much shut down. So having food within the hotel was a plus.
This hotel will require to scan your ID if you do not look Han Chinese. They told me they do not ask foreigners for this if they look Asian. They said the reason is so if they need to call the police, then they have a record of non-Asians who were there. I was not surprised to find that this hotel is funded by Chinese investment. However, this kind of surveillance is not in line with Taiwanese values and is probably illegal. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Otherwise, the rooms were not great. The bathtub was pretty old and looked dirty. There were a few holes in the walls where things used to hang. The shower head wouldn't stay in the holder and looked worn out, like full of calcium and rust. The bed was fine.
