Royal Congress Hotel

We spent few days in November, the heating was OK, the hotel decorated and furnished very nicely clean towels and other toiletry were provided. It was only 15 minutes walk from the airport and good public transportation towards city centre.

Advantages: 1) good level of service (received missing towels quickly, got printed boarding ticket at midnight just a few minutes after sending by email, got the cold room changed to a warm one immediately), 2) close to Zhuliany airport (5 min by taxi) -perfect for early flights. Disadvantages: 1) rooms need reparation, broken mirror, cracks in the wall, some light bulbs were missing 2) weak heating, 3) no phone in the rooms to reach reception, 4) restaurant exists as a bar practically, couldn't even receive info what dishes they have.

The stay at the hotel was "Interesting" I can say. After walking through the door we been told to wait for around 20 min to book in as the receptionist was busy doing something on the PC. When we eventually got to the room, we got welcomed by an strong smell in the air. After unpacking and getting my gentleman's parts surgically removed by the shower I noticed many defects with the room such as broken glass on window (hazard for kids). However the best part was when I tried to sleep, first of all the cleaner just walked in to the room without knocking (what if I was butt naked?) and said something in Ukrainian. However later on there was a loud sound from few rooms below of a couple having a "good time" p.s at least the women did from the screams, that was going for a long time. Fair play to the lad he lasted long time :). The next day when I was going to book out, in the reception there was some filming crew making some advert I guess. When I tried to give the key back we got shouted at for interrupting the scene. Overall the stay was eventful and if you are looking for the best time of your life I recommend the hotel. P.S. The 5min walk from airport to hotel was not pleasant as every taxi driver almost forced us to get into their car. SO watch out or just get Uber and try not to die from the driving style :)
