Royal Crown Hotel

I stayed there for 2 nights. The room was clean and the service was good. It was a peaceful enjoyable stay with a fair price. I also liked the room design, the desk and the stuff they placed there for writing was also nice. The only problem I didn't like was the way the lady at reception behaved. It wasn't much friendly and also made me feal uncomfortable

Absolutely terrible service! Everybody in the reception is awful and has no experience in dealing with customers. They have this weird attitude as though they are working without getting paid. Front desk staff is Not suitable for hospitality industry! Wonder if this is the norm throughout muscat. The rooms are nice and quiet. But the whole experience comes down to how you are treated by the staff! House keeping staff is nice and sweet. The omani guy and the lady in reception need alot of training in how to talk with customers. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a long stay! You will pay to make yourself feel horrible and embarrassed. Avoid

We’ve stayed there for two days. We arrived at night and the room that we requested wasn’t ready, the receptionist gave us different room. The door at the bathroom was dirty and for these two days nobody even cleaned the room. But that’s okay. We requested iron and they brought it. My mistake was not to check if the iron is ok (but that’s not on me, coz I’m thinking that the hotel suppose to take care of such things) so I wanted to iron my cloth, and guess what happened? I got a huge stain on my cloth. When I asked the guy who brought the iron to call the manager he said nobody is at the hotel. When I get downstairs to speak to the receptionist he said that one of the managers is at the hotel, and he offer me to speak to him. The way manager spoke to me - I’m truly shocked. He was blaming me not to check the iron. He was blaming me that I used iron on max (which is not true, he didn’t even asked me how did I used the iron), and he was asking me what to do now. Well, I told him that they can offer me the laundry and he said they won’t coz it’s my mistake… Honestly, I’ve been travel a lot and I have never, ever faced customer service like this.
