Royal Garden Hotel

This is a very nice hotel to stay in Dongguan China. The room is modern and clean. The view is beautiful. Onsite restaurants offer delicious food in various style. The buffet in the first floor is the best. The hotel also offers an outdoor swimming pool and onsite gym. The staffs there are super nice and helpful.

Stayed 5 nights in October 2023. Common hotel for Huawei company employees. Very good room. It was big and spacious as well as clean. The bathroom was also big and clean. Great foods and drinks. The breakfast was great and the a-la carte lunch was also good. Can walk to nearby restaurants and shops easily. The English part was an issue but it was manageable.

I have the worst experience with front desk back in 2009 or 2010 when my parents visited me in this hotel. Since my parents came to China to visit with an uncle. I booked 2 rooms. One regular room with one bed with the uncle and one room with two small beds for my parents since my mom insisted to get this room. It would be too expensive to get 3 regular rooms. The next morning, my mom called me and said she can not go into the breakfast buffet. The lady there said one ticket per room only. No ticket no enter. Think about it, if there are two beds, should there not be two breakfast coupon. I went to talk to the front desk, this young lady seems like total new and strict on following the rules by the book. I told her I will pay for it(the coupon) for the breakfast buffet. Just put it in my bill when I check out. They have my passport copy, Id etc. She said I can not. It’s not allowed. I got so upset since I have to endure my mom visiting me and have wait for my dad and uncle to have the breakfast. I was SO PISSED. How can that be a 5 Star hotel at that time??? This young lady should said let me speak to my supervisor or boss, but she is so arrogant and said no we cannot do that. Even if I paid she will not give my mom a coupon breakfast ticket. You called that a 5 Star hotel??? I still remember this situation to this day that my mom have to endure this experience not eating breakfast on this freakin hotel while she was visiting me. It’s not like I am going away, I told her just give her the ticket, I’ll pay for the food. I am glad this hotel went down as a 3 Star hotel, but it should be a 1 or 2 Star. The hotel is spacious in the lobby with ok rooms with good views of the outside(only for top floors).
