Royal Group Hotel Chang Chien Branch

We stayed here for 3 nights on the top floor with breakfast included - one of the better stays in Taiwan and a pleasant experience overall! The rooms were clean and well maintained with various amenities. Sheets smelled fresh and the bed was comfortable. Room was reasonably spacious for the price paid and the toilet was also desanitised and had no smell. The free laundry service (2 washers & 2 dryers) were thoughtful and the breakfast had a generous selection of asian food. Surprisingly, the view from the window (pictured below) was a peaceful touch and no surrounding noise permeated into the room so we slept well. It was also well located, walking distance from Kaohsiung main station (which only has TRA, no HSR) and a short walk to nearby convenience stores. Would definitely come here again.

Walking distance to Kaohsiung station. Clean & quiet room. Breakfast included. Provides 24 hours snacks (bun, coffee, tea, ice cream etc). Recommended.

PROs • 24 hours snack bar : steamed bun pork is separated into another steam machine. Coffee machine and 3-in-1 coffee sachets, milk tea sachets, various tea bags. Biscuitts, popcorn, various ice creams flavor, four juices options • my booking came with Free breakfast. As a muslim, the staffs helped me decipher which one is vegetarian. • spacious, clean and very inviting eating area. Really nice to hangout here while waiting for laundry etc • cloth iron : i went to a few more proper hotels in taiwan, they don’t even have iron. So i was really glad that Royal Group Hotel does. • Bidet: spacious bathroom with bidet. Even toilet slipper is provided. No bath tub. Soap and shampoo provided • Free laundry: out of 5 hotels i stayed in my 10-days trip in taiwan, this is the only one that provided FREE LAUNDRY WITH DRYER. detergent included, proper laundry bag too (not the plastic kind) • Safety box in the room • Refrigerator and kettle in room • 4 water bottles (most hotels only gave 2) • Location: near the main station. Easy walk.
