Royal Kona Resort

We had a great stay at Royal Kona. Yes, the hotel is dated, but our room was spacious and clean, and everything in the room worked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view from our room and from the restaurant is worth the stay! Our meals at the restaurant were great, both food quality and service. We greatly enjoyed the pool and the lagoon. There are several restaurants within walking distance. I would stay here again.

I just had the most wonderful stay! They got me in while my flight was rescheduled do to the tsunami warnings. They had staff and management come in in the middle of the night to ensure everyone was safe and got into their rooms after the evacuation!! Superb customer service and safety! AND as a bonus this was a super cute resort with a protected lagoon I could swim in even though the waves were huge, a great pool that sits on the edge of the ocean, a fun tikki bar and super yummy food at the restaurant. Both times I ate there my seat was literally feet from the ocean! No better view in town! I highly recommend!!

The room with an ocean view is spacious, clean, and nice. The hotel even gave us a bottle of wine, which we really appreciate. 🥰 The only thing is that there's a lot of little black bugs (annoying but harmless) in the restroom due to the humidity and aged sewer, and you can find hundreds of their bodies on the washing basin in the morning. The environment is very nice, great ocean view from the swimming pool, and the restaurant invites musicians to perform during dinner time. The location is close to everything everywhere, and they have a parking lot.
