Hotel he good but like little oldesh touch in it
Royal Marina Plaza is in a very convenient place near the MTR metro station for Panyu Square, has an excellent selection of local restaurants. No more than a city block from the hotel is the Aeon mall where there are many EXCELLENT restaurants on the top floor. The hotel breakfast is pretty good; certainly better than other hotel breakfast offerings in the area. The flagship Chinese restaurant is good but if you don't speak Chinese, it's difficult to navigate. Skip the other in-hotel food offerings. Rates are reasonable although during one of the many trade events in Guangzhou, the price can be increased by 150-200%. The hotel rating is 5 Star but don't expect the same quality of service as a western 5 Star hotel. The service is not very helpful at times. No hotel staff speaks more than a few words of English though this is apparently the destination stay for many foreigners. However, given the other lodging options in the area.
