Came in today for some lunch and we loved it, will definitely be back. The atmosphere was great and all service was excellent. We were sat straight away, food came quickly and was very tasty. We decided to stay for a few more drinks after our food and the young lad on Ethan on the bar was fantastic, kept us very entertained haha. According to my husband he poured a great Guinness (but could do with some work on his shamrock). We look forward to returning in the future.
Me and my partner visited for dinner. The inside decor was lovely. We had the steak pie and chicken burger. Everything came at good speed and the food was delicious. The barman made us some amazing cocktails and kept us entertained while we finished our drinks at the bar. Cerys was out served and she did a superb job. We will definitely be returning
After walking up and down the streets of Keswick looking for somewhere nice to eat we finally decided on The Royal Oak. Once inside we were immediately greeted and shown to a nice table in the corner. We were given a menu and expected someone would come to us and ask us what drinks we wanted while we were choosing but no one came. We sat for 10 minutes and had chosen what we wanted but still no one came to ask about drinks or take our food order. I went up to the bar and was told to go back to the table and he would come to take our order which he did. The drink took a long time to come nearly same as food. We ordered the Steak and ale Pie and the Fish pie and they were 10/10 incredible also the Stout was amazing. I decided to order another ale but this one never arrived. I managed to flag down a waitor and he did manage to sort it in the end. When they took away our empty plates they ask if we would like to see the desert menu. We agreed as the other food was so good. The desert menu never appeared and no one ever came to take payment for our food... We couldn't wait any longer so we went up to the bar to pay ourselves and missed out on the desert. Amazing food Service just needs to improve a little to make the whole experience 10/10
