Had a great stay at Royal Orchid Brindavan, Mysore. It’s a beautiful property with a great view and a calm atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed. The hospitality was excellent and the food was really good. A special mention to Mr. Punith, who made our experience seamless. He was very attentive and helpful throughout the stay, and also suggested some nice places to visit in Mysore, which we really appreciated. Overall, everything from the service to the location was spot on. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Mysore.
Absolutely gorgeous old building. Beautiful rooms! Fantastic service. The food was pretty good as well... Only the washrooms were a bit lacking in relation to the rest of the property. All the staff were super friendly and courteous. Enjoyed our stay there very much.
The property itself is beautiful, with stunning views and well-appointed rooms—we were here seven years ago and have fond memories of that visit, which felt like a truly special experience. This time, however, we were quite disappointed by the overall hospitality, especially from some of the junior staff, who came across as inattentive and at times rather dismissive. It was a stark contrast to the warmth we remembered. That said, a special mention goes to the security guard in traditional attire—he was consistently warm, welcoming, and truly a highlight of our stay. Kudos to him! We also appreciate the efforts of the general manager, who did try to step in and resolve matters when they escalated, although by then the situation had already caused some distress. During our stay, a private party was being hosted at the hotel, which significantly limited access to some common areas. We were asked by staff to remain in our rooms, and when we attempted to sit at the bar for a quick meal, we were asked to vacate the area—despite it being largely unoccupied. After some insistence, we were eventually allowed to stay and were served soup, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations in terms of quality. Post-incident, the management and senior staff were courteous and accommodating, and we truly appreciated their efforts. Thank you to the managers for stepping up. We do feel the junior staff, especially in the restaurant, would benefit from more customer service training to ensure a more welcoming experience for guests. The breakfast offerings also leave room for improvement. Despite the challenges, the rooms remain excellent, and the natural surroundings are breathtaking.
