Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok

This is an older hotel in a fantastic location. On the river across from IconSiam. There is a free boat ride from the hotel to the mall. Staff are friendly and fluent in English. Check in was quick and efficient. Rooms are average size. Very clean. As a Titanium Elite member was upgraded. Same room type, but higher floor. No real upgrade to a different category like a suite. Same kind of upgrade in January. The Club Lounge looks new and provides excellent food choices. Drink choices are limited compared to the Marriott Marquis. Air conditioner was not adjustable but they offered to switch rooms. Highly recommend this property.

I think it's a good hotel by the riverfront, but unfortunately I didn't use the facilities much in my short time stay. However, the room was a bit old. The housekeeper staff was very good and friendly. He’s smiled and greeted me every morning. The restaurant I tried had great menu selection and delicious. The general service was average for Sheraton standard.

A pleasant stay overall. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. The hotel offers everything one might need, though some areas show minor signs of wear. Nevertheless, it is well maintained. Dining options on the ground floor are excellent. The 27th-floor lounge provides a quiet retreat, but for a more vibrant experience, the ground floor buffet is well worth a visit. Get out and live a little - China Town is a short walk away with lots to see.
