Royal Phuket City Hotel

We had a great stay, and a big part of that was thanks to Ms. Au. She was incredibly helpful from the start, guiding us through everything and always making sure we had what we needed. Her kindness and attention to detail were a big reason we ended up extending our stay by another week. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

This 19 storey hotel was once the best in Phuket - about 30 years ago. Now it's a bit faded, but still comfortable. A guy in a white uniform stands outside to salute customers. Great view from the rooftop restaurant and bar, which has a weirdly limited range of food, consisting of expensive Chinese meat dishes. The restaurant on the ground floor has a much better range of food, still on the high end of the price scale for Phuket, but sadly no longer allows customers to eat at tables outside. The swimming pool is very small but well-maintained. Easy walking distance from everything in Phuket Old Town.

The hotel was nice and the staff were fantastic. Very kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay. The bar man Toon was amazing and loved his service. The spa was amazing, the massage and body scrub was top notch and worth every cent. Was a bit disappointed the swimming pool area didn't have a drink area where one could order drinks or bites. The rooftop bar had an amazing view but the food was quite deary for the quantity we got.
