From the moment we arrived at the Royal Marco Hotel, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is unbeatable—tucked away just far enough from the crowds to offer peace and quiet, yet steps from all the iconic sights of Venice. Waking up to views of the canals and walking out into the heart of the city was a dream. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with local recommendations and planning. They made navigating Venice so much easier and added a personal touch to our stay that we deeply appreciated. The hotel itself was immaculate—beautifully maintained, with charming details throughout that reflect the elegance and history of Venice. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed, making it easy to relax after long days of sightseeing. In every way, the Royal Marco Hotel made our trip to Venice unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city and will definitely stay here again in the future.

What a beautiful hotel in a fab location. Our room was very spacious with a view of the canal. Nice and clean. The bed was “hard as a rock” and we only had 1 very flat pillow but that certainly wouldn’t deter us from coming back again. Breakfast could have had a few more options.

My wife and I recently stayed here and chose it for its location and the fact it was listed as an upscale hotel. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Breakfast was included and with a great variety, was very well put on. The location is great, right at St. Mark’s Square and close to Rialto ferry station. But…the rooms were terrible, ours was tiny and really badly equipped. The bathroom was even worse! I’m sure our mattress was from 1950, it was most uncomfortable! And the WiFi in our room was nonexistent, couldn’t even use emails or WhatsApp. And don’t even think about YouTube. The carpets in the hallways were really worse for wear. This hotel is most certainly not upscale, and I would definitely not rate it as 4-stars. Sorry, but I am very disappointed I chose this place.
